There are so many fun activities to do at Universal Studios Japan that it’s impossible to do them all in a day, so here are my top 5 for you.
1. Fly Around Hogwarts @ Harry Potter World
Harry Potter World is easily the most memorable part of Universal Studios Japan for me (of course, it helps if you’re a Harry Potter fan). From drinking butterbeer to visiting the iconic wand shop and riding broomsticks around Hogwarts with Harry and his friends, it’s one of the most immersive experiences of fiction I’ve ever been involved in.
2. Join Yoshi’s Adventure @ Super Nintendo World
An iconic fan favorite and an integral part of the Super Mario Universe, Yoshi is a dinosaur-like character that has his own ride Yoshi’s Adventure at Super Nintendo World. Truthfully, it matters not if you’re a fan of Yoshi, because this ride is the single best way to see all of Super Nintendo World at every possible angle at a high altitude (and makes for a nice romantic scenario too!).
3. Enjoy The Action Show @ Water World
Easily one of my favorite memories of Universal Studios Japan is the classic Water World show, featuring explosive action (literally) and hilariously impressive action scenes performed live before your very eyes! Just make sure to avoid the front-row seats unless you don’t mind getting wet!
4. Meet The Dinosaurs @ Jurassic World
Nothing says “Universal Studios” quite like a trip to Jurassic World where you can see a range of big friendly dinosaurs that look, sound, and feel real enough to make you forget there’s a human in there. If you’re up for an hour-long queue, you can also jump on the Jurassic World ride and soar through the skies like a pterodactyl!
5. Eat Pizza @ Louie’s N.Y. Pizza Parlor
Arguably the best part of Universal Studios Japan is the abundance of delicious (and unique) food and drink options at your disposal. Take Louie’s N.Y. Pizza Parlor, for example, offers giant-sized slices of New York-style pizzas with a uniquely delicious mix of savory ingredients combined with sweet honey syrup!
Of course, if you are planning to visit Japan, you’ll need a way to get around the country as efficiently and affordably as possible. Japan Rail provides an abundance of travel passes to suit your travel needs. So whether you are traveling individually or as a group, the JR Pass is every traveler’s go-to for getting around and making the most of your time in Japan!
