You’ll find the classic green logo of Freshness Burger just about anywhere in Japan. Serving up more than just burgers, it’s a must-visit!

Headquartered in Tokyo with establishments all over Japan, Freshness Burger is a local favorite that offers a more classy atmosphere than standard fast-food restaurants.
Freshness Burger – Kokura

Okay, admittedly this particular Freshness Burger branch next to Kokura Castle didn’t sport the usual green logo at the shop front.
Instead, it took on a more modern design, likely to appeal to tourists and maintain the sleek look of the surrounding architecture.
As you walk along Kokura’s Riverwalk, you’ll find a few restaurants and cafes including Starbucks, Komeda’s Coffee, and of course, Freshness Burger.
You’d be surprised to know that Freshness Burger is just as much a cafe as it is a restaurant, serving up coffees, teas, crêpes, and gelato.
Delicious Burgers & Great Presentation
I’ve noticed a common trend with Japanese burger shops whereby the presentation is always superb.
The aesthetics of the burger is always prioritized and you’ll find they tend to look a lot closer to their poster ads than McDonald’s or Burger King.
Once you make your order, the staff will bring out your tray of food along with a complimentary cup of cold water that can be refilled on demand.
Choices of burgers are vast, including classic beef burgers, grilled or fried chicken burgers, seafood burgers, and veggie burgers.

A Fantastic Workspace

As a freelance writer, I am always on the lookout for places that offer free Wi-Fi, good workspaces, and most importantly, coffee! Here at Freshness Burger, you get the holy trinity that makes a fantastic workspace for remote workers.
Awesome Outdoor Space

Freshness Burger truly masters the restaurant x cafe vibe, making it one of the few places that draw in hungry citizens as well as cafe connoisseurs. This particular branch near Kokura Castle offers a wonderful outdoor dining area, making it a great choice to enjoy a coffee with a friend.
