NARAMILE is a new Japanese-style coffee shop and cafe that offers delicious food and drink in the heart of Nara’s famous deer park.

An up-and-coming cafe with an original aesthetic, NARAMILE pays homage to the deer of Nara Park as well as the Buddha statue of Todaiji Temple through its artistic designs featured on its food and drink menu.
Delicious Hojicha Cake

While I didn’t try NARAMILE’s coffee (as I had already had my cup earlier), I did opt for their hojicha or “roast green tea” flavored cakes!
The taste was truly exceptional and very classic of Japanese desserts, featuring a lightly sweet flavor with a touch of bitterness as per the hojicha ingredients.
Also included was a cute deer-shaped cookie inside that paid tribute to the deer of Nara Park.
Nice Window Views

Speaking of deer, you could enjoy views of the outskirts of Nara Park from inside the NARAMILE cafe. The window offers a big view of the roads and parklands, and you can often see deer walking about and crossing the road!
In the Heart of Nara!

Of course, the location of NARAMILE is super convenient for visitors of Nara, and it certainly makes for a better and more authentic cafe experience than the neighboring Starbucks there.
So the next time you’re in Nara and need a break from petting the deer (or an escape from their headbutts!), then head down to NARAMILE and soak in the atmosphere of Japan’s nature capital at your own pace!
