In the hotter seasons, opting for an iced coffee is the way to go, like 7-Eleven Japan’s recently introduced Café Latte Smoothie!

7-Eleven Japan has an abundance of delicious smoothies to choose from, including acai, mango, and berry mix options. Recently, they added something totally different to the mix, a Café Latte Smoothie!
Just 300 yen!

For just 300 yen (or 2 USD), you can enjoy this chilled gourmet beverage from any 7-Eleven store in Japan!
I visited the branch in Mukaijima after an intense session of wall tennis in the grueling heat.
Feeling a combination of thirst and hunger, a coffee smoothie sounded like the perfect treat to get my energy back up!
Sweet Cubes of Coffee Goodness
The process of making 7-Eleven smoothies in Japan is quite simple (and fun too!).
Simply purchase the cup of your desired smoothie, then bring it to the smoothie machine, scan the barcode, remove the lid, place the cup in the holder, close the door, and press the start button!
Before pressing start, however, I had to admire the small cubes of coffee goodness that filled the cup (I was tempted to grab one and eat it whole!).

Smooth, Creamy Goodness!

Once you press start, the machine will do its thing, and your Café Latte Smoothie will be ready in less than a minute!
The completed edition features a smooth and bubbly texture with a creamy top that simply begs to be sipped.
You can find all your plastic straws, lids, and additional condiments like sugar syrup just next to the machine (but trust me, this smoothie needs no extras!).
My only complaint about this deliciously smooth and creamy coffee smoothie was that it wasn’t big enough, and I found myself inhaling it just as quickly as it took to make!
