Exploring the feeds at Kansai Airport Terminal 2

Kansai Airport is one of the busiest international airports in Japan, and even the world. At Terminal 2, you’ll find some interesting goods.

Kansai Airport commonly known as “KIX” is the ideal airport for overseas visitors coming to Osaka, Kyoto, or just about anywhere in the Kansai region. However, unless you travel domestically or to a nearby country like Korea, you likely haven’t explored Kansai Airport’s Terminal 2 lounge area.

Delicious Sora-ben Meals!

Sora-ben loosely translates to “sky bento,” referring to a Japanese-style lunch pack intended to be eaten in a plane when you’re up in the air.

Kansai Airport’s Terminal 2 area is home to a variety of food and snack stores where you can get some delicious feeds for your flight.

This tasty sora-ben is designed to be eaten cold so as not to cause strong scents around others. It consists of steamed chicken, fish cases, vegetables, and rice for a nutritious meal!

Amazing Matcha Dessert!

For dessert, there is a famous matcha ice cream store that serves premium soft-serves, cakes, and other desserts specializing in green tea flavors.

I purchased a matcha soft serve waffle cone which came with two rich blocks of matcha chocolate on top (other toppings include azuki, oreo, and fruit).

The shop is built like a cafe with tables and seats inside and outside the establishment.

Interesting Stores

Osaka is quite famous for its Universal Studios and in particular the Super Nintendo World section of the amusement park.

At Kansai Airport’s Terminal 2, they offer plenty of Super Mario souvenirs among others which lets you take home a piece of Osaka.

Indeed, this section of the iconic KIX airport is certainly a path less explored, but you may be impressed by some of the hidden gems on offer!

Of course, if you are planning to visit Japan, you’ll need a way to get around the country as efficiently and affordably as possible. Japan Rail provides an abundance of travel passes to suit your travel needs. So whether you are traveling individually or as a group, the JR Pass is every traveler’s go-to for getting around and making the most of your time in Japan!
