Among the most popular coffee shops in Japan is the iconic Hoshino Coffee, serving up its own unique coffee blend and delicious feeds!

As a coffee-loving nation, Japan is filled with an abundance of coffee shop chains and ambient cafés drawing in locals and tourists alike. Among the most popular chains is Hoshino Coffee, serving up its own unique blend of coffee and showcasing a full-fledged menu of delicious food and drink.
“Coffee Of The Stars”

Forget about Starbucks, because Hoshino Coffee, or “Coffee of the Stars” delivers a delicious unique blend sourced from coffee beans in regions of South America such as Brazil, Columbia, and Guatemala.
I recommend the “Hoshino Blend” for its well-balanced attributes of sweetness, bitterness, roasting, and sourness.
You can also opt for the extra bitter “Hikoboshi Blend” or the milder non-bitter “Orihime Blend.”
There are also options for iced coffee, fruit teas, and “jumbo cream sodas” for those with a sweet tooth!
Amazing Food Menu!
To me, what makes Hoshino Coffee truly memorable and iconic is its food menu featuring some of the most amazing breakfast items I’ve ever had at a café!
I tried the French toast and soft-boiled egg coffee set and was blown away at how well the dynamic of flavors and textures worked when dipping the toasty bread into the yolk.
Other food options on the menu include beef curry, omelet stew, thick sliced cutlet sandwiches, french fries, souffle pancakes, and more!

Nice & Simple Atmosphere

Unlike other modern-day “hip” coffee shops, Hoshino Coffee keeps things nice and simple with an old-fashioned look (despite being founded as recently as 2011).
Wooden tables, chairs, and dark leather seats make for a comfortable seating area, perfect for a relaxing get-together with friends and family!
I visited the branch at Kyoto station to farewell some family members who were traveling to Tokyo via Shinkansen (bullet train).
We all loved the coffee, food, and service at Hoshino Coffee and always remember it for the tastiest café food we’ve had in Japan!
