An experience like no other, Jojoen offers spectacular views of Asakusa and succulent feeds at a surprisingly affordable price!
Not to be confused with the Tokyo Skytree itself, Jojoen is located in the Tokyo Solamachi shopping complex within the tower’s vicinity. Forming part of the Tokyo Skytree Town alongside the Tokyo Skytree, the building is home to the infamous Jojoen city-view restaurant on the 30th floor.
Exceptional customer service
Jojoen is one of those places that immediately gives you a great impression from the moment you walk in. Friendly staff greet you and escort you to your reserved table, providing a box to store your bags in, a compartment to hold your face mask, and a warm damp face towel to refresh yourself.
Of course, you will also be given a menu showing their delicious sets and single items as well as a hot and cold beverage menu. In the center of the table is a grill where you can cook any meat, seafood, or vegetable dishes as needed.
A set with the works!
I highly recommend coming to Jojoen Tokyo Skytree Town at lunchtime where prices are halved and the views are clear as day. For just 3,000 yen (about 22 USD), you can enjoy the banquet you see before you which also includes a free drink and dessert item.
In all honesty, the superb quality of the food is enough to justify the price, with freshly cut vegetables, perfectly steamed rice, and succulent meat and seafood to satisfy all tastes and dietary requirements. There are also plenty of side dishes such as tofu, fresh fermented cabbage, and hot miso soup to get you started.
Unbeatable views
Jojoen offers views that are of the quality of a dedicated city-view observatory. Completely free to go up to the 30th floor, you really only pay for the food and drinks you order at Jojoen Yakiniku restaurant while enjoying the grand view of Asakusa city.
While you won’t be in the Tokyo Skytree itself, you’ll find this experience to be more worthwhile than going up the Skytree, as it offers views at a similar height. Needless to say, you get the added bonus of Jojoen’s delicious lunch or dinner experience too, a price that is equal to Skytree’s entrance fee alone!
Of course, if you are planning to visit Japan, you’ll need a way to get around the country as efficiently and affordably as possible. Japan Rail provides an abundance of travel passes to suit your travel needs. So whether you are traveling individually or as a group, the JR Pass is every traveler’s go-to for getting around and making the most of your time in Japan!
