Kaldi Coffee Farm is Japan’s hub for coffee and international goods

Like stepping into a museum of planet Earth itself, Kaldi Coffee Farm offers a plethora of international goods and its own brand of coffee!

I’ve always been reluctant to go into one of these Kaldi Coffee Farm stores as I assumed they only sold coffee (and quite frankly, there’s no shortage of coffee shops in Japan!).

That was until I realized it was so much more than that! Kaldi Coffee Farm is a brand that is not only dedicated to brewing elite specialty coffee but also importing goods from across the globe for the people of Japan.

Free Kaldi Coffee Sample

Every Kaldi Coffee Farm has a barista outside the store serving up delicious free samples of their exclusive company brew.

Not only is it made with Kaldi’s classic coffee blend sourced from regions of South America, but it also comprises Kaldi’s very own brand of milk powder.

The best things in life are free, and that notion certainly rings true here.

Japan doing what Japan does, you are required to drink your coffee in-store as doing so on the streets is a big no-no!

An Aussie Favorite!

As an Australian, the first thing that caught my eye in this store was this big stack of Tim Tam biscuits!

I hadn’t seen these delicious treats for the entire year that I’d been in Japan thus far, so it was really quite surreal to see them in plain sight.

What was most impressive was that they offered just about every variety of Tim Tam you’d find in a typical supermarket in Australia!

Freshly Ground Coffee Beans

Of course, you can also grab yourself a pack of coffee beans and have them ground for you on the spot!

From delicious Rainbow Mountain blends to dark-roasted Brazilian beans and spicy Colombian roasts, there is a huge selection of coffee and espresso blends to choose from.

This pack of 200g Kaldi coffee beans cost less than 1000 yen (6.50 USD) and tasted absolutely amazing!

A Haul Of Global Goods!

Needless to say, I had a memorable time shopping at Kaldi Coffee Farm, and certainly did not hold back on all the international goods that I’ve sorely missed.

Honey-roasted peanuts from the US, chocolate blocks from the UK, and even taco seasoning from Mexico (trust me, Mexican goods are hard to come by here), we brought in an absolute haul of global goods!

Of course, if you are planning to visit Japan, you’ll need a way to get around the country as efficiently and affordably as possible. Japan Rail provides an abundance of travel passes to suit your travel needs. So whether you are traveling individually or as a group, the JR Pass is every traveler’s go-to for getting around and making the most of your time in Japan!
