Trying Kobe beef at Zerohachi Yakiniku in Osaka

I’ve talked about this amazing halal yakiniku restaurant in Osaka before, but this time we went all out to try their Kobe beef course!

Zerohachi Yakiniku is a halal Japanese barbecue restaurant located in Osaka’s Namba city. Offering a range of courses to suit various budgets, my brother and I decided to try the most expensive premium menu – the Kobe beef course!

Beautiful Marbling

Kobe beef is considered one of the Sandai Wagyu or “Three Big Beefs” of Japan, denoting the highest quality of livestock, nurturing, and preparation.

The marbling of the Kobe beef at Zerohachi Yakiniku was truly exceptional and lived up to its status as the elite beef of Japan.

White patterns of fat are intricately routed within the meat harmoniously. Before they are even cooked, you can tell how delicious the end result is going to be as the meat and fats meld together brilliantly.

Thick, Juicy Texture

A quick grilling on either side and the beef is ready to devour.

As expected, the result is a thick and juicy texture where the fat has melted in such a way that the beef itself has become soft and terrifically tender!

Halal Kobe beef can be hard to come by and it can be especially hard to verify its legitimacy.

Zerohachi Yakiniku is the answer to your salaat (prayers), because they have all the certifications on display for authentic halal beef sourced from the domestic Japanese black cattle of Hyogo prefecture.

Bonus Items!

There are a few extra perks that come with the Kobe beef course at Zerohachi Yakiniku – like this delicious lobster for example.

You can also enjoy Wagyu beef rice bowls, cheesy Korean fried chicken, and lamb chops as part of this special menu.

All-in-all, if you’ve never had Kobe beef, I would strongly recommend Zerohachi Yakiniku’s halal Kobe beef course whether you’re a Muslim or not!

You can expect to pay about 7,500 yen (47.50 USD) per person for this course which includes access to all items on the menu plus unlimited drinks.

Honestly, for Kobe beef prices don’t go much lower than this, and all the added perks of dining at Zerohachi Yakiniku make it worth every yen!
