In the humble backstreets of Kyoto’s Shijo street, Moon & Back Ramen Bar is serving up delicious flame-torched Wagyu beef amen!

Difficult to come across in reality, but easy to find on TikTok trends is this restaurant known as Moon & Back Ramen Bar. Known for their iconic Wagyu beef ramen, they utilize special ingredients and cooking methods to redefine ramen as we know it!
Awesome Presentation!

Their most popular dish, the Wagyu beef ramen, uses unconventional ingredients such as a beefy broth and premium Wagyu slices (as opposed to the typical pork ingredients).
They also provide a condiment of coarse salt to sprinkle over your ramen, a touch which I must say enhances the flavors exponentially.
Other notable features of Moon & Back Ramen Bar include the exotic wooden tray and spoon with their iconic bunny rabbit logo (paying homage to the “rabbit on the moon” East Asian folklore).
Flame Torched to Perfection!
It’s not time to eat just yet, because that raw Wagyu beef is about to get lit up!
Staff will come around with what I can only describe as a flamethrower as they begin torching up your bowl of ramen.
The pink color quickly turns grey under the flame’s will, and the smell of the ramen takes on a scent that is very barbecue-esque as though you’ve stepped into a yakiniku restaurant.

Nice Sides Too!

In addition to ramen, the restaurant also serves delicious sides such as steamed gyoza with a variety of meat and vegetable fillings.
Of course, there is a drinks and dessert menu too, though on this occasion it went largely unexplored.
All-in-all, Moon & Back Ramen Bar promises a unique and delicious dining experience that will have you inspired about the creative possibilities of ramen cuisine!
