Rikuro’s cheesecake offers the softest, most fluffy treat in Japan!

Rikuro’s is an iconic producer of cheesecakes in Japan which has grown worldwide recognition for its incredibly fluffy and jiggly cakes!

Japan is a country that normalizes waiting in line for the best quality goods. Never in my life had I lined up to buy a cake until I came across the iconic Rikuro’s cheesecake shop in Osaka.

Freshness Sealed!

For just 950 yen (6.35 USD), you can purchase an entire Rikuro’s cheesecake, enough to satisfy four people (or two with big appetites!).

The cheesecake comes in an airtight seal that preserves its freshness and soft texture for a prolonged period of time.

It is then placed in the big cheesecake box with Uncle Rikuro’s classic logo imprinted along with all the nutritional and historical information about the brand.

Incredibly Fluffy

Speaking of the Rikuro logo, you’ll find another one imprinted on the cheesecake itself, though in my case, it was a Halloween special that involved a wizard hat and a pumpkin.

At a glance, you can already perceive the utter softness of the cheesecake’s texture as well as its jiggly reaction if you were to poke at it.

Admittedly, my Rikuro’s cheesecake came out a little wrinkly and creased on the top, albeit it wasn’t in the best of hands on the journey home, but that didn’t stop it from being an incredibly delicious feed!

Scrumptious!

Let this be a source of inspiration for you; if your Rikuro’s cheesecake comes out a bit creased from your poor handling, then just like you do in life, focus on what’s on the inside.

One bite of this bad boy and you won’t give a solitary damn what it looks like, because the way it feels in your mouth will outshine all other senses!

Eating Rikuro’s cheesecake is something I can only describe as a blissful, out-of-body experience that has you feeling like you’re flying through the air eating the clouds.

There are also raisins at the base of the cheesecake which I thought was a nice touch.

So the next time you’re in Osaka, grab yourself a Rikuro’s cheesecake and enjoy the unmatched fluffiness of Japanese bakery delights!

Of course, if you are planning to visit Japan, you’ll need a way to get around the country as efficiently and affordably as possible. Japan Rail provides an abundance of travel passes to suit your travel needs.
