Rikuto’s Place is a humble little shop in the heart of Osaka around the Dotonbori area, frying up some of the best chicken in town!
I briefly mentioned my love for Rikuto’s Place in my article Top 5 “non-Japanese” restaurants you must try in Japan. Well, having dined here for the second time, I thought I’d delve deeper into just how good this little chicken shop in Osaka really is!
Order For Takeaway Or Eat In!
As with many restaurants in Japan, there is a touchscreen ordering system provided with multiple language settings.
You can order for dine-in or takeaway and you’ll find all the items to be reasonably priced.
Rikuto’s Place has a vast menu with a focus on fried chicken, offering anything from fried chicken burgers to Korean-style fried chicken and tasty popcorn chicken snacks.
They also have various miscellaneous dishes such as spring rolls, spicy sausage, and stir-fried potato noodles.
World’s Tastiest Chicken Burger?
In all honesty, this classic fried chicken burger from Rikuto’s Place is the best I’ve ever tasted not just in Japan, but across the world.
The ingredients are fresh and the sauces are incredibly tasty. Nothing is overdone and nothing is lacking.
Your first bite will be met with a solid crunch that not even the likes of KFC can compete with, and the combination of sweet and savory sauces will absolutely blow your mind.
Amazing Korean-Style Fried Chicken
Speaking of KFC, the Korean fried chicken here is a specialty of the store and can be ordered separately or as part of a complete burger combo.
I’ve tried the best Korean fried chicken in the world at the motherland during my trip to Korea, and I must say, Rikuto’s Place contends with the best!
Crispy and crunchy on the outside, succulent and tender on the inside, and bursting with sweet Korean chili sauce, this is the kind of food that can turn a bad day into sunshine and rainbows.
Oh yeah, you also get a wet wipe in a cute Doraemon packet to clean yourself up with.
Enjoy A Full-Course Meal
Rikuto’s Place offers a combination of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese cuisines through burgers, chicken, and rice and noodle dishes.
As such, there is a huge variety of drinks to choose from with your meal, from standard cola to more authentic drinks like Chinese oolong tea, Japanese green tea, or Korean barley tea.
There’s also a jug of iced tea on the table which you can use to refill your cup as many times as you like.
So why not do something a little different for your Osaka itinerary and come down to Rikuto’s Place for the feed of a lifetime?
