Samurai Stay hostel offers affordable private rooms in Ota, Tokyo

During my trip to Tokyo for the annual EVO Japan tournament, I booked “Samurai Stay,” a cozy little hostel in Ota city.

Ota city is certainly not a commonly known area, particularly among foreigners, but it sure is a convenient location with affordable accommodation options! Samurai Stay is a hostel that offers affordable private rooms just around the corner from Senzokuike station on the Gotanda Line in Tokyo.

Private Cozy Rooms!

For less than 4,000 yen (27 USD) per night, I had the privilege of spending several nights at Samurai Stay.

While I was aware that I’d have a capsule-like bed, what I didn’t know was I’d also have a private room to myself, albeit it a small one.

A nice and cozy private space at the cost of what you’d typically pay for a shared room, I thought it was a pretty good deal!

Of course, there were also shared facilities like the kitchen, bathroom, and showers to use too.

Workspace With Everything You Need!

It’s not much, but it’s everything you need! A decent-sized work desk with power points and even a mini fridge to store small items such as snacks and drinks.

Combined with free Wi-Fi and a microwave to heat your convenience store meals, you practically have all the essentials for work and play as preferred.

I had a great time unwinding here after a long day at EVO Japan at Tokyo Big Sight. The quiet ambiance and relaxed layout of Samurai Stay made me feel like I was right back at home in my room!

Short Walk To The Senzoku Pond!

Just around the corner from Senzokuike Park, one of Ota’s major attractions, Samurai Stay really is an ideal location. You can enjoy blissful morning strolls or unwind at the benches while enjoying sunset views at the Senzoku Pond. All in all, I had a pleasant stay in this lesser-known city of Ota thanks to the hospitality of Samurai Stay!

Of course, if you are planning to visit Japan, you’ll need a way to get around the country as efficiently and affordably as possible. Japan Rail provides an abundance of travel passes to suit your travel needs. So whether you are traveling individually or as a group, the JR Pass is every traveler’s go-to for getting around and making the most of your time in Japan!
