Shopping at Tokyo Skytree – the best place for funky accessories!

Shopping in Japan is quite a unique experience, especially at Tokyo Skytree where you will find plenty of “unusual goods!”

People who visit Japan often admire the Tokyo Skytree tower from afar, and understandably so. However, when you get a little closer you can enjoy a unique shopping experience at the Tokyo Solomachi shopping complex where you can also access the observation deck at the top of Tokyo Skytree.

Cool Japanese-themed designs

The stores at Tokyo Skytree provide an amazing variety of goods including clothing, food, and cool souvenirs.

Walking into a random store may present you with a funky design and layout with interesting Japanese-themed features and wall art.

For instance, this clothing store I visited had me in a trance with its wall art showcasing a salmon sashimi bowl with a cute little cat poking out!

How about a new fashion statement?

Tokyo is known as one of the world leaders in new creative fashion statements and a huge “trendsetter” in the industry.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to fork out thousands of dollars for a tailor-made suit to embrace Tokyo fashion. Simply pick what you like!

There’s something for everyone when it comes to Tokyo fashion, for example, these food-themed shirts and socks are fun, cool, and trendy all at once.

Or in other words, they’re just funky!

Fake food souvenirs!

Restaurants in Japan are notorious for their “plastic food displays” outside their stores which give a realistic depiction of what their dishes look like.

We’ve all felt admiration (and hunger) walking past such displays on the streets of Japan, and now you can buy one to take home with you!

Nothing will invoke a sense of nostalgia for Japan quite like a bowl of plastic ramen sitting on top of the bookshelf in your home.

Of course, if you are planning to visit Japan, you’ll need a way to get around the country as efficiently and affordably as possible. Japan Rail provides an abundance of travel passes to suit your travel needs. So whether you are traveling individually or as a group, the JR Pass is every traveler’s go-to for getting around and making the most of your time in Japan!
