Sukiya winter menu – piping hot dishes to keep you warm in Japan!

Nothing keeps you warm like a piping hot pot of savory sukiyaki broth! In the freezing winter, Sukiya has released new soul-warming dishes!

In the ice cold months of Kyoto’s brutal winter season, 24-hour establishments like Sukiya are an absolute God-send. Featuring delicious gyudon beef bowls all year round, they’ve now released two exciting new dishes designed to help combat the freezing cold weather!

Sukiyaki!

Nothing keeps you warmer quite like a piping hot bowl of sukiyaki! Normally, you’d have to go to a proper sukiyaki establishment to enjoy this kind of hotpot dish, but Sukiya has made it accessible and affordable for all.

Featuring a hot stone pot with an ongoing flame underneath, the aroma alone is enough to make you forget about how cold you are. Packed with delicious stringy beef, assorted vegetables, thick udon noodles, and a sweet broth, you’ll find this dish highly addictive in every sense!

Chicken Curry Dandan Nabe

In addition to sukiyaki, Sukiya also released a chicken curry dish with a similar concept featuring a stove-like bowl with a flame underneath. The ingredients are mostly similar to the sukiyaki version, except they use tender grilled chicken instead of beef and the broth is a thick-seasoned curry.

Extra Spice?

Again, you’ll feel warm immediately at the first whiff of this piping-hot dish. If the heat isn’t enough for you, just add some special Sukiya spicy sauce and you’ll find yourself breathing fire! Honestly, just one dab of this stuff was enough for me to put it away and vowel never to add spice to an already spicy dish again.
