One of the most impressive architectural displays I’ve ever seen, Tokyo Big Sight is the largest international convention center in Japan.
Truly a sight to behold, Tokyo Big Sight is a beautiful demonstration of the possibilities of modern Japanese architecture. Located on the Tokyo Bay waterfront, it’s best accessed via the Rinkai Line, typically used to access Odaiba, Tokyo’s artificial island of entertainment.
Incredible Architectural Design
Like something out of a sci-fi movie, Tokyo Big Sight’s dominant feature is its conference tower, a massive pyramid-like structure with four legs that support four inverted pyramids, bridged by a platform with transparent glass windows. The color scheme also resembles the pyramids of Egypt for an exotic aesthetic. I’m no expert in architecture, but this is one of those structures that easily takes your breath away with its grandiose design that simple begs to be appreciated.
Business, Leisure, International Events
The surrounding convention halls of Tokyo Big Sight are wide and spacious, typically packed with people commuting to various events surrounding business and entertainment. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes to indulge in, making it an awesome place to visit even if you’re not attending any events.

EVO Japan 2025 was held at Tokyo Big Sight from May 9th – 11th, featuring one of the biggest fighting game tournaments and conventions in the world. All the best Tekken, Street Fighter, and K.O.F players from all over the world gather to compete for big prize money! I myself had an amazing time competing and enjoying the pop culture festivities of the event, too.

Tully’s Gallery is easily the biggest branch of Tully’s Coffee that I’ve seen in Japan. A national favorite coffee chain, this massive establishment is part of Tokyo Big Sight’s shopping complex and features a huge seating area and interesting exhibits. Packed with business people and tourists alike, Tully’s Gallery operates like a cafe and museum in one! Just another one of the many unique and grand features you can experience at Tokyo Big Sight – Japan’s largest international convention center!
